Our research work is all about how we can help decision-makers (such as politicians, industry leaders, community groups, and individuals) make informed decisions about the production, use, and management of plastic – particularly once we are finished with it.
In order to do this, we need to make sure we have the right policies (rules) in place and that people want to follow them. Through agreements with businesses, the government and others involved in making, using, and getting rid of plastic, we can look out for any gaps that exist, how best to fill them, and how to help people follow the rules.
Viet Nam is already a leader in trying to stop the plastic we use from reaching the ocean, but the only way to truly prevent this is by following existing laws, bringing new ones where needed, and making sure each of us does what we can to reduce, reuse and recycle our plastic.
